To mark the second stage of the 2026 Tour de France, which will take place between Tarragona and Barcelona on Sunday 5 July, we would like to inform you that severe traffic restrictions will be in place, which will directly affect access to our marina.
As this is a sporting event with global significance, the security and transport authorities have put in place special arrangements to ensure the race runs smoothly as it passes along the Costa Daurada coastline.
Access closure times and traffic diversions
To help you plan your day in advance, we would like to inform you that the main roads in the municipality and the direct access routes to Port Barà will be completely closed to traffic from 10.00 am until 3.00 pm on Sunday 5 July. During this time, the entry and exit of vehicles to and from the port area by land will be completely restricted.
Estimated times for the race to pass through
According to the official itinerary provided by the Tour de France organisers, the passage of vehicles and cyclists through the vicinity of Roda de Berà will take place at the following estimated times:
- 12.09 | Sponsors’ parade: The traditional parade of sponsors that precedes the race will pass through areas near the port.
- 14:16 | Cycling peloton: Estimated time of arrival of the professional riders heading towards Barcelona (calculated based on the stage’s predicted average speed).
Recommendations for users and crews
The management of Port Barà strongly advises all our berth holders, crews, customers in the shopping area and suppliers to bear in mind the following guidelines:
- Plan ahead: If you intend to use your boat or access the port facilities on Sunday morning, we recommend that you arrive at the port before 10.00.
- Planning your journey: Similarly, avoid scheduling road journeys that coincide with the closure period (from 10.00 to 15.00), as there will be significant traffic congestion on the roads surrounding the N-340.
- Enjoying the event: We would like to remind you that the area around the port and the surroundings of Roda de Berà offer a prime vantage point from which to enjoy one of the world’s greatest sporting spectacles live.
